DEMIUR is an independent contemporary knitwear brand founded by Luca Micco in Monferrato, Piedmont. The project is born from the transformation of material: studying a yarn, altering its structure and developing new possibilities of surface, colour and volume.
This is DEMIUR’s alchemical principle: bringing together textile knowledge, experimentation and artisanal techniques to give materials a new identity.
Alchemy as a process.
Transformation happens through slow, sustainable artisanal techniques, guided by a contemporary vision of knitwear. A compact yarn gains lightness, a surface opens up and changes its hand, colour penetrates the fibre, creating nuances, depth and lived-in effects.
THE PROCESS
Stitches, textures, dyes, washes and finishes are design tools: each intervention changes how the yarn behaves and defines the character of the garment.
Material and form.
Cashmere, alpaca, wool, silk, mohair, linen and milk fibre fuel a research that brings together natural fibres and innovative materials. Through processing and finishing, Luca Micco evolves their properties and enhances their material effects.
The DEMIUR style is genderless and contemporary: essential lines, relaxed volumes, considered proportions and discreet details meet soft surfaces and distinctive textures.

Luca Micco is the founder and creative director of DEMIUR. His work comes from the meeting of design and textile research, with material and yarn at the centre of every project.
Count, weight, twist, stitch and finish are studied to develop a soft hand and gentle surfaces, in a constant balance between form and material.
His approach, both technical and intuitive, combines know-how and techniques to create contemporary knitwear that is recognisable by touch and by proportion, perfect in its artisanal imperfection.
From the atelier in Moncalvo, Italy’s smallest city, Luca Micco develops the collections in direct dialogue with those who design and make every DEMIUR garment.
Seasonal Must Have
Luxury is sensory, not performative. The lightness of the knit, warmth without weight and the subtle irregularities of natural fibres create a quiet, intimate relationship between garment and body. Every piece is designed to be worn, lived in and felt, rather than displayed.

DEMIUR develops each garment through trials, experimentation and the fine-tuning of techniques, from knitwear to jersey. Working with local knitwear factories and artisan workshops of excellence allows material and construction to be developed together, with care given to every stage of the product.
